Department Projects

The Department of Mexican American Studies has a long history of conducting scholarly research that benefits the Mexican American and larger community at the local, regional and national levels. Such projects have focused on issues of health (e.g. HIV prevention, adolescent health, substance abuse prevention), immigration, public policy, education, the economy, communication, public history, bilingual education, and other areas.

Currently, MAS projects include the Binational Migration Institute, the Social Justice Education Project, the MAS Public History Program.
