It is estimated that over 5000 bodies have been discovered along the U.S.-Mexico Border over the past ten years.  1,883 of these have been discovered in Southern Arizona, and have been processed at the Medical Examiner’s Office in Tucson.

Seeking to bring into view the hidden complexity behind body counts, this research draws on 5 years of ethnographic research with families of missing and deceased migrants, government agencies and NGOs. Join us for...
