The Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH) grant is a collaborative project between the Pima County Health Department, the American Indian Research Center for Health, and the Mexican American Studies Department at the University of Arizona. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) awarded funding to the program in 2018.
REACH aims to:
- Create community clinical linkages that connect patients to preventative health programs via referrals and enrollments
- Develop or strengthen smoke cessation policies and practices
- Increase physical activity among Latinx and Native American residents in Pima County
