UA Mexican American Studies Department's Open House and Art Exhibition

The University of Arizona Mexican American Studies Department is proud to invite you to its "Open House" during Homecoming week to celebrate the work of Community Artists.

Indeed, the UA MAS Department annually has an "Open House" so that the wider university community and public can come and learn about the work of MAS faculty and students. This year, the Department is adding an art exhibition where local community artists from Raices Taller will display their work. Some of these art pieces will be offered for sale, with part of the proceeds going to help support the Guerrero Student Center’s  highly successful Vivir México study abroad program. The display of art will be in the Cesar E. Chavez Building during business hours from Oct. 19th to Nov. 19th. The "Open House" will be on Oct. 23rd, starting at 5:00 p.m., with a short program starting at 6:00 p.m. The public will be able to browse the art work until 7:00 p.m. before the homecoming bonfire.

For more information, please feel free to contact us at: 520-621-7551.

We are looking forward to seeing you there!
