Maggie Trinkle
My role will be to support administrators, faculty, staff, and students with the business side of academic life. I serve the esteemed business units of American Indian Studies, Department of History, Late Medieval and Reformation Studies, Mexican American Studies, and Southwest Center
Prior to my new role, I spent over 25 years in commercial and nonprofit operations and administration, most recently having served as Chief Operations and Finance Officer of a conservation nonprofit. Before I learned how to tell a financial story with numbers, I was telling stories through art, dance, poetry, and creative nonfiction. I am an AZ Daily Wildcat alumna, my writing has appeared The Hill, and my Ms. Magazine piece, “I (Don’t) Want a Wife,” is included the recently released anthology, “Voices of a People's History of the United States in the 21st Century: Documents of Hope and Resistance” by Anthony Arnove (Editor), Haley Pessin (Editor).
I admire underdogs and strive to live according to my values of humor, curiosity, and compassion. I am a lifelong baseball and Beatles fan. I am motivated by giving back to the Wildcat and Tucson communities that have been a treasured part of my life.
