Anna Maria Garcia

Anna Marie Garcia joins SBS as the Business Coordinator for the Chavez Business Center. As a business coordinator she will provide support with financials, budgeting, account reconciliations, PCards and travel reimbursements for MAS, HIST AIS, SWC and DLMRS. 

Anna Marie graduated high school and attended college in the Tucson area and brings a wide range of experiences to her new role including twenty-six years as an Office Manager in the private sector. Most recently she worked in the James C. Wyant College of Optical Sciences and gained experience with UAccess Financials, Analytics, and database management systems. She looks forward to expanding her knowledge of UA policies & procedures regarding accounting and budgeting in her new role.

As a Tucson native, Anna Marie now lives with her husband of thirty-five years in the Picture Rocks area on the same ranch where they raised their three children and now enjoy the company of their four grandsons. Throughout the years they have raised chickens, pigs, goats, horses, turkeys, geese, and ducks and currently have three dogs and seven cats. Anna Marie finds the time to crochet, knit and complete jigsaw puzzles but also enjoys traveling, hiking, and gardening when not at work.
